Girl's Gotta Give.

My birthday is coming up.  I did an epic week-long (nearly, amirite?) post about this last year.  Call it the-youngest-and-only-daughter syndrome.  Fortunately for everyone who feels obligated or encouraged to read, it won't be that epic this year.  You're welcome....?

In acknowledgement of my 31st, I am totes doing a give-away.  L has confirmed that this won't conflict with my sponsorship of the 2pt-tober competition.  So here we go:
I changed the name of my shop.
Is it even open yet?
No.
  • You get your choice of a "OMG RIDER DOWN I'M GONNA DIE" tag, which, in theory, people would see flapping from your saddle while your beloved steed canters off from your prone body.  This product has not been beta tested, which means that I don't guarantee that it won't be lying in the mud next to you as your horse canters off from your prone body.  That's part of the fun, right?
(I'd love to stamp "I fucked up, call 911.")
  • Oooor, if you're the sort to wear field boots, you get a lucky-charm/motto tag.  Things I can guarantee over the beta on this:  I'm using different metal, so the metal-smashing should be a smidge better.  Friendlier.  Less beat-the-hammer-eighteen-times-because-nothing-is-leaving-a-goddamn-impression.  And I probably won't hit my thumb, thus embedding my epithelial cells into your tag.  I mean, I think I'm pretty damn awesome, but I get the appeal in a clean tag.
"Bold"

"Bitch."
I feel like that's my motto: bold, for all the values Archie has instilled in me.  Bitch, because let's be honest.

Ouch.
So, here you go:  you've got until my 31st birthday to enter the following rafflecopter giveaway.

  3. I completely love the field boot tags. Also, I think the "I fucked up. Call 911" would go exceptionally well with the "Holy Shit" plate I have on my neck strap :)

    1. ....

I wish I came up with it! See, that's why it's a giveaway. I don't feel that I can ethically sell something unless it's super popular and a thousand people are doing it. One chick had this brilliant idea and I can't profitize on her smarts. But I can practice until it catches on and I feel okay doing it, too.

    1. HOLD ON AS LONG AS YOU CAN!

Actually, turning 30 is pretty fucking awesome. I feel like a grown up. But.. a cool grown up.

And I try to theme just about everything in my life around "Bold Archer". I've always said to myself that I would name my first barn "Straight Shot Stables."

  15. I LOVE the "Straightshot Metalsmashing"! OMG it's the best name ever! And your stamped things...it's the entire reason why I'm participating in 2Pointober this year. :D Love both ideas! The field boot tags would work on regular boots too, right?

    1. I really think "metal smashing" is so much more descriptive of my work than "hand stamping". Hand stamping sounds delicate. Metal smashing is not. I think it also takes out some of that importance on perfection, because my shit ain't perfect. :)

Straightshot, because of Bold Archer, and because you can't erase mistakes in metal.

:) AND YOU FLATTER ME SO MUCH.

I think the boot tags would work on regular boots. The holes are going to be 1/8th an inch, so some forceful persuasion might be required.
