I think I've talked about my obsession with my iPhone and all the wonders that it does. So I wanted to talk a little more about an app that I'm amazed by.
Cyclemeter! |
Okay, so back to the app: I track my rides using Cyclemeter, an app initially geared towards cyclists. I've used a ton of others for tracking my running and stuff, but Cyclemeter has a specific option of selecting "horseback riding." (I'm pretty sure a couple apps have this, but whatever.)
See horsie in the top right? |
Another neat function is the reports. Cyclemeter doesn't have a website to access information, but you can pull all that from it. For example: since the start of 2013, I have ridden 54 times for a total of 29 hours, 49 minutes and 40 seconds and 98.64 miles. I've also only run 6 times, which is all sorts of depressing.
More details than you'd ever need. |
Stuff. |
And options to add in a heartrate monitor and a bike tracker thingy! |

BUT WHAT ABOUT IDRATE! I WANT OT HEAR ABOUT THE IDRATE!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO (typographically) SCREAM ON MY BLOG.
DeleteIDRATE: I DRANK WATER. AND THEN I DRANK MORE WATER. AND THEN I GOT SOME SHITTY-ASS COUPONS THAT I THINK I COULD HAVE FOUND ON THE INTERWEBS MYSELF. the end.
Very cool! I'll have to check if the app I use to track my runs will track my horseback rides. (It has an option to insert time spent riding horses, but I'm not sure if it's just 'how many minutes did you spend doing this' or if it actually lets you track.)
ReplyDeleteI can't remember what made me think, "Hey, let's chart me walking in circles," but I appreciate having the data now. I love data. MyFitnessPal (nutrition/calorie tracker) also has an option to enter in 'minutes spent riding'.
DeleteOoooh, I like that! Will have to download!
ReplyDeleteHope you love it! It's got a ton more stuff that I didn't even mention. :)
DeleteNeat! I'll have to download that.
