VCBH: Is There an App For That?

What is your favorite horse or horse related app?

I think I've shared this one ad nauseam.  So, there are a lot of tracking apps out there.  If you love one, stick with it.  I love Cyclemeter.  We got it initially because my husband (the genius - literally) said that the algorithms were the best, blah blah blah.  I had just downloaded something else, but the hubs spent money on this app, so I tried it.

And I fell in love.

I've got it set up so every half mile (which carries over from way back when I used to run), an Irish guy tells me how fast I'm going, how long I've been going, and how far I've gone.
Home screen.

I've since upgraded to the "Elite" version (an extra $5 a year).  Records weather and a bunch of other stuff.  What I really care about is that it talks to another app - MyFitnessPal.  For all you skinny folk out there, MyFitnessPal works to keep us who get fat off oxygen in check.  If you're already on it, I'm bekaburke.  Feel free to stalk me.

Talking!
Other screen shots:

History screen.
History shows the map - and the Elite version records weather data.
More map.

My calendar.  May was more exciting than June has been.  It also talks to the calendar on my iPhone.
History!
I think the general version is $5?  Maybe?  I've been using it for well over a year and bordering on two.  Or three.  I can't remember.  Regardless,  I freaking love this app.  It also has control over music.  And can be controlled via the mic on your iPhone headphones.

  2. Oooh, that appeals to both my running/CrossFitting side and my riding side. I currently use Google's MyTracks, it's similar, but might have to switch to that.

  3. Cool app! And I confess to being someone who gets fat off oxygen (and cheeseburgers). :)

  4. I like that it connects to My Fitness Pal. I use that too and I don't think I'm very accurate about how long I've been riding. However, I am adamant about not riding with my cellphone in my pocket. I would totally drop it or fall on it. That is a good way for it to die.
