Straight Shot Metal Smashing.

Ahem.

I like doing artsy crap when I'm stressed out because it clears my brain.  Like the way that adult coloring books have taken over.  My mom is really big into arts and crafts and she raised me and maybe this was the best coping mechanism that she instilled in me.

When Brena came to visit a few months ago, she approached me about being a sponsor for So8th's Heart of the Carolinas.  (Yeah, my logo is one right above SMARTPAK.)  I thought about it for about three seconds, asked a few questions, and agreed.  And then quickly realized that I was going to have to get my shit together.

I immediately solicited for a logo from my favorite website, Fiverr, only to have the person completely rip off the example I had sent her.  So I made my own.


The shop is technically called "Straight Shot Metal", because smashing wouldn't fit.  I'm trying to fill it with things that I've come up with, though the bridle charm is 100% done by everyone.  Skulls, though?  Skulls are all me.  (At least as I've seen.)  Also, I really, really, really want thin aluminum horseshoe stamped bracelets to be a thing.  Because Archie wears aluminum shoes. (/squee)


While the shop has technically been open for a couple months, I didn't want to reveal it to y'all because I didn't want any pity-purchases.  I still don't.  I think the blog world collectively is pretty amazing and I didn't want to feel like I got handouts.  But I've had my first sale and, regardless of the fact that she didn't leave a review, I feel okay about what I sell and presenting it to y'all.

But, because I love this community and I have a hard time with the concept of selling stuff to you that I compiled while drinking on my couch, I've set up a 50% off coupon code:  BOLDARCHER.  All I ask is that you don't share it.  If you find my blog before my shop, I consider you a reader worth a reward.  If you find my shop before my blog, you're a customer.  Or a fan.  :)

      LOVE the name and logo. I have a few vintage items on Etsy, but I haven't sold anything yet. I LOVE buying handmade things though!

      Hi! New follower (being playing catch up from the beginning ☺) and occasional blogger. I don't have a horse (which is why I stalk horse blogs.....need to get my fix somehow LOL) so I'm not sure how much input I can provide but I'm willing to try if you're willing to overlook the idiot with no horse and therefore very little horse owning knowledge LOL be prepared for lots of "yay's" "wahoo's" and the like tho b/c that'll probably be the gist of my comments.         So: I really, really want to ship outside of the US. I'm a big believer in it. But I haven't figured out shipping costs to other countries.
