Back on Track & Hx

Damn you, Back on Track, for being so amazing.  It's like I've got no choice in the matter any more.  I will be a believer, whether I want to or not.

I contacted the company.  This is what I said:

Hi,

I haven't purchased this item yet because I'm still waiting on an official diagnosis from my vet. I was interested to see if there has been any comment made about the efficacy of the quick wraps in regards to ringbone, which my guy is suspected to have. Please advise.

Thank you,

Rebekah
And today, I got an email back from them.  Not only did they email me back, which is award-winning in and of itself, but they contacted a veterinarian to get her take!  Hot damn, I'm impressed.  Here's that email:
HI Rebekah,

Below please see an email from a vet regarding ringbone and Back on Track products.
Thanks for your interest with Back on Track.
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Hi Lisa,
Yes, using the back on track products could help relieve much of the pain associated with ringbone. As for any arthritic condition the important thing is getting that increased blood supply and reduced inflammation. Having said that, it will depend on how severe and chronic the condition is on how much the Back on Track products will help (or anything else).

There are not very many options for treatment of ringbone. Continues use of NSAIDs and/or even steroids to reduce inflammation, joint injections and even letting the joint fuse together.

I personally use the Quick Wraps for any condition below the fetlock.

Hope that helps,

Matilda Johansson, DVM
Needless to say, I'll be ordering a pair - pronto.  I think the timing is good, because it'll coincide with his summer increase of beet pulp.  He always gets a little skinnier in the summer.  In the cooler months, he gets 3 cups of beet pulp, mixed with water and his supplements (SmartFlex Senior, Ultra Cool & Complete, Lysine and 1/2 scoop of OneAC), at night.  In the warmer months, generally when it consistently breaks 90°, he gets two cups of beet pulp, mixed with beer and his supplements (all of the above, increased OneAC and electrolytes) twice a day.  So, in the mornings, I can switch the Quick Wraps for his fly boots and vice versa at night.

And I was doing some googling earlier and found this on Equibase (I knew most of this already):
