To quote the vet:  it is remaining open in the middle because his body is still trying to decide whether it will absorb or spit out that piece of bone.

  5. First and foremost I vote for whatever is best for Archie, but if it's all the same....I kinda want to know what spitting the bone out looks like, haha! I mean, we've come this far/photo journalized it this far, we might as well see the full process of all the cool things a body can do like spit things out.
